The Akintola Williams Youth Debate is an annual event named after our Patron, Mr. Akintola Williams, with participation from secondary schools within Nigeria. Over the years we have partnered with the Association of International School Educators of Nigeria (AISEN) for the organisation and implementation of the event. We have also collaborated with the British Council for post-event activities such as mentoring and internships for winners of the competition.
Objectives
- To promote industry, research and build capacity among the youth.
- To invest in education and drive excellence among schools and their students.
- To identify students for mentorship and internship with our partners such as the British Council. This will help in building employability skills and self-awareness for the students.
- In furtherance of our social responsibility initiatives.
- To provide a platform for our members and partners to play a key role in education
