Nigeria-Britain Association

N-BA Invests Chief Emeka Anyaoku TC, GCVO, GCON, CFR as Patron and Dr. Richard Montgomery CMG as Vice-Patron

When it comes to Nigeria and Britain, we avail you the best networks and opportunities for who or what you aspire to become, delivered on a social and relaxed environment.

The Nigeria-Britain Association (N-BA) held its prestigious Investiture Ceremony in Lagos to formally acknowledge the leadership and patronage of two distinguished figures – Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Commonwealth Secretary-General, as Patron, and Dr. Richard Montgomery CMG, British High Commissioner to Nigeria, as Vice-Patron of the Association. The event served as a reaffirmation of the N-BA’s commitment to strengthening the historic and evolving ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

In his remarks, Chief Emeka Anyaoku commended the Association’s sustained focus on cultural exchange, youth development, and bilateral collaboration, while Dr. Richard Montgomery emphasised the importance of partnerships that foster mutual respect, shared values, and people-to-people connections. The investiture brought together members of the Association, dignitaries, and partners in a reflective yet forward-looking gathering that celebrated legacy, continuity, and leadership. It also reinforced the Association’s position as a leading non-governmental organisation promoting cultural diplomacy and friendship between both nations.

Welcome Message from the President

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the official website of the Nigeria-Britain Association (N-BA).

For decades, the Nigeria-Britain Association has stood as a dynamic platform dedicated to strengthening the historic and evolving relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Through dialogue, collaboration, and impactful programming, we continue to build bridges across government, business, education, culture, youth engagement, and sustainable development.

At N-BA, we believe that meaningful relationships create meaningful change. Our work is driven by a shared commitment to fostering mutual understanding, promoting cultural exchange, and creating opportunities that empower individuals and institutions in both nations.

Whether you are a professional, student, policymaker, development partner, or simply someone passionate about Nigeria–UK relations, there is a place for you within this growing community. We invite you to explore our programmes, participate in our events, and engage with a network of individuals and organisations who are shaping ideas into action.

N-BA is more than an association — it is a community of purpose, dialogue, and progress. We are continually expanding our initiatives in youth development, education, sustainability, arts and culture, and institutional capacity building, and we welcome collaboration from all who share our vision.

We encourage you to stay connected, get involved, and become part of a network that is actively shaping stronger ties between Nigeria and Britain for future generations.

We look forward to welcoming you not just as a visitor, but as a valued part of the N-BA community.

Mr. Ademola Sanya
